Heart of the Cross

2006 Vision Statement

Vision

The Heart of the Cross has a vision of itself growing into multiple congregations of significant impact in Marion and surrounding areas.
To accomplish this vision HOTC is devoted to following the example of Jesus in making disciples that are capable of making disciples. That devotion will produce a growth of His Kingdom, measurable by the increase in the number of disciples trained to teach the principles of His Kingdom.
We believe that growth occurs when we are fulfilling both His Great Commandment and His Great Commission (GC2).
In our obedience to Jesus in following the Great Commandment we share in His love for God and for people. We reach up to God in adoring love, we reach in to one another in loving nurture and support and we reach out to others in loving acts of service. In these ways, we seek to manifest Jesus’ love in and through us.
HOTC seeks to enable its members to build new lives in Jesus Christ. This mission statement, as it is implemented, guides and empowers us in fulfilling the Great Commission.
