Repentance

To the next statement: Justification

Repentance toward a gracious God is a change of mind and attitude, prompted by the Holy Spirit and grounded in the Word of God. It includes an awareness of personal sinfulness and accompanies a new life sanctified though faith in Jesus Christ.
(Acts 2:38; Romans 2:4; 10:17; Romans 12:2)

Acts 2:38 - Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 2:4 - Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance?

Romans 10:17 - Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.

Romans 12:2 - Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.
